A retreat of solitude and serenity with 25 kilometres of coastline, plus wetlands, mountain ranges, chasms and gorges and natural springs.

Lorella Springs Wilderness Park is part of a virtually untouched one million acre cattle station located 180 kilometres along the road between Borroloola and Rope Bar, 29 km north of the Savannah Way. This huge, remote property offers a retreat of solitude and serenity with 25 kilometres of coastline, plus waterways, wetlands and swamps, rock formations and mountain ranges, chasms and gorges, numerous water holes and natural springs and a variety of wildlife.

The campground at the station homestead includes standard rooms, en-suite deluxe rooms and fully self-contained air-conditioned cabins, and acres of shady, grassy camp sites beside a natural hot water thermal spring. The historical homestead includes office and bar open from 7 am to 8 pm, and meals . General supplies are available along with wood-heated hot water showers, flushing toilets, a camp kitchen, fire places and wood piles.

With 1,000 of 4WD tracks we have it all at Lorella whether it be for swimming, bird watching, bush walking, fishing or simply relaxing by the hot springs.

Fishing opportunities include two fishing camps with boat ramps and numerous billabongs.

Scenic helicopter flights and heli fishing also available.

Bookings only required for cabins and rooms, NOT for campground.

    Suitable for guests with sufficient mobility to climb two or three steps, but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance. Suitable for guests who depend on the use of a wheelchair in a seated position at all times. Suitable for guests with a hearing impairment, from mild hearing loss to profoundly deaf.

    The rooms are set alongside the natural spring, close to the amenity block and can accommodate two people.

    Unpowered Sites

    There are acres of mowed grass camp sites along the banks of the spring, only a short walking distance from the thermal pool. Select your own camp and relax to the gentle sounds of flowing water. An undercover kitchen area and fire wood are available for your convenience.

    Deluxe bedrooms with ceiling fan and en-suite. Rooms’ setup is either with Queen Beds or Twin singles.

    Self Contained Cabins

    Each cabin includes a Queen-size bed and a single bed, or one queen-bed plus a bunk bed (2 singles) and offers air-conditioning as well as a private bathroom, satellite TV, mini fridge, a private BBQ. Bedding and linen are provided.

    Powered Sites

    Sleeps 30 guests

    Only available for group of 10+ cars along with toilet & shower block close by.
