Enjoy four-wheel drive comfort as you savour the essence of the remote Central Australian outback on an eco-tour personalised to your interests.
Travelling south east, your first stop is at the Aboriginal Community of Santa Teresa. From here you’ll travel along the Old Andado Track to Molly Clarks Pioneer Homestead, ‘Andado’ Cattle Station, through the Finke River onto Mt Dare Hotel. The next morning you will visit the raw dunes along the French Line, traverse country rarely experienced by travellers, see unusual trees like the Coolibahs and Red Mulgas and much more before returning to Mt Dare Hotel.
Your journey today takes you into Witjira Park and highlights the pioneering courage of settlers at Bloods Creek, Federal and Dalhousie, with time for a swim in the Dalhousie Thermal Pool. As you cross the gibber strewn, treeless country, experience the vast 360 degree horizons of up to 100 kilometres away.
Departing Mt Dare, the first stop of the day is at Charlotte Waters Telegraph Station ruins, then Lambert Gravitational Centre on Lilla Creek Station, back to the old Ghan town of Finke. The Finke River, Bundooma, Alice Well and Titjikala are a few of the places visited on your return journey to Alice Springs.
