3 Day 4WD Central Australian Journey
Then head off the beaten track through the Finke Gorge National Park to Boggy Hole, where awesome scenery, unique bird watching and a swim awaits you.. Using the less travelled four-wheel drive tracks, you will arrive at Kings Canyon. In the morning you can choose whether to take the rim walk, where you’ll be rewarded with remarkable views or the less strenuous walk through the valley amongst the cycads.. Arrive at Uluru / Ayers Rock, located in Kata Tjuta National Park, on 'tracks less traversed' and enjoy nibbles and a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets. Early the next morning take the base walk around Uluru, visit an Aboriginal Culture Centre and then head off to Kata Tjuta / The Olgas, for walk among the orange domes, before heading back to Alice Springs.
4 Day Simpson Desert 4WD Tour
From here you’ll travel along the Old Andado Track to Molly Clarks Pioneer Homestead, ‘Andado’ Cattle Station, through the Finke River onto Mt Dare Hotel. The next morning you will visit the raw dunes along the French Line, traverse country rarely experienced by travellers, see unusual trees like the Coolibahs and Red Mulgas and much more before returning to Mt Dare Hotel.
Your journey today takes you into Witjira Park and highlights the pioneering courage of settlers at Bloods Creek, Federal and Dalhousie, with time for a swim in the Dalhousie Thermal Pool. As you cross the gibber strewn, treeless country, experience the vast 360 degree horizons of up to 100 kilometres away.
Departing Mt Dare, the first stop of the day is at Charlotte Waters Telegraph Station ruins, then Lambert Gravitational Centre on Lilla Creek Station, back to the old Ghan town of Finke. The Finke River, Bundooma, Alice Well and Titjikala are a few of the places visited on your return journey to Alice Springs.5 Day Birding and Aboriginal Culture in the East MacDonnell Ranges and Northern Simpson Desert
The first stop is at Corroboree Rock, a culturally significant place to the local Aborigines, for some birding. Then onto your overnight destination Ross River Resort. Spend the afternoon birding, bushwalking, swimming or relaxing.
The next day you will visit the Arltunga Gold Mining Visitors Centre, travel north along the picturesque Cattlewater Pass, with plenty of time for birding. Over night is a bush camp in the vicinity of the Harts Range Mica Mines. Today you leave the Plenty Road for the Red Sand Track, with birding stops on route to your next destination, Lindsay’s place at Baton Hill on the Hay River.
This morning you set off on a day’s birdwatching, dependant on seasonal variations, the bird and wildlife can be plentiful in this remote wilderness. Witness a sunset at Goyders Pillar before enjoying a camp oven dinner. Return to Alice Springs via the Plenty Highway.7 Day Simpson Desert, Rock and Canyon
Learn of the remoteness and hardship of the Overland Telegraph Line and Old Ghan Rail Workers.. You’ll visit orange domes of Kata Tjuta / The Olgas, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and nibbles as the sun sets over Uluru / Ayers Rock. In the morning take a walk around the base of Uluru. A three hour rim walk awaits you at Kings Canyon, Watarrka National Park. Boggy Hole in the Finke Gorge National Park provides some awesome scenery, unique bird watching and a place for a swim.. Please note that the indicative rate quoted does not include the AUD25.00 per person national park entry fee. The fee is payable directly to the park when you arrive at the park.
John McDouall Stuart Journey
You’ll visit Standley Chasm, past relics of Old Owen Springs Station, drive through Stuarts Pass. Retrace Stuarts path south along the Hugh River, travel along the Tanami Road to Anna’s Reservoir in the Reynolds Ranges. Through out this journey there will stops at Mt Harris, Hanson River, Karlu Karlu / Devils Marbles, Tennant Creek Telegraph Station, Attack Creek, Davenport Ranges.. This tour offers time for walks, birdwatching, photographing, bush camping and the chance to fully take the time to appreciate the beautiful surroundings.
