Soiree at Whitegums

Share in a day of activities at beautiful White Gums – the rural retreat for Desert Song Festival 2020.

Connect to country with the NIMA Award-winning Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir. Watch them paint, make bush medicine and cook traditional Central Australian bush tucker. Indulge in a ‘wellness’ workshop of vibrational yoga, music, bush walks and delicious food stalls.

Take “the essential Australian journey” this September to Alice Springs where the unique story of human occupation, resilience and culture will be celebrated in Central Australia’s most popular festival. Over 10 glorious days, the Desert Song Festival’s myriad of concerts, workshops and masterclasses will present choirs, musicians, small vocal ensembles and solo performers in a celebration of; the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people.

With bold, artistic innovation amid ancient desert landscapes and iconic heritage buildings, singers, musicians and audiences will unite in this annual celebration of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance in Central Australia.

The program provides a smorgasbord of free events and quality ticketed performances. Book early online or in person at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre.
