Red Centre Bird Festival

Alice Springs Darwin Katherine Ulu r u Kings Canyon

There's plenty to chirp about as you get to know the NT's plumed inhabitants a bit better through activities at Alice Springs Desert Park.

Red Centre Bird Festival is one of Australia's leading nature festivals will come alive in the heart of Australia from 19-23 September 2018.

The Red Centre has a suite of birdlife unlike anything else on offer around the country, including amazing iconic species such as Budgies, Spinifex Pigeons and Crimson Chats. These iconic species are rare and you would struggle to find them elsewhere, but in Central Australia they are a common sight and we want to share them with the world.

Highlights include Birds for Beginners, Breakfast with the Birds, a raptor experience, bird photography tour and Birds and Bats of Simpsons Gap.

We are encouraging locals and visitors to enjoy what the Red Centre has to offer with activities for experienced birdwatchers, nature lovers and those starting the journey.
