Mesmerising abstract painting or Red Centre salt lake? 🤔 @jasoncharleshill recently captured this incredible aerial shot of the glistening white salt flats less than 100 kilometres from #Uluru. @CurtinSprings, a privately owned cattle station, offer guided walking tours on their property including the salt lakes, #MountConner and at full moon. The combination of ancient and vast salt lakes, different land types each with their unique features and textures, and the ever present moods of the grand Mount Conner, are sure to leave you with a full camera roll 🙌 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Jason! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

We all want to go there, but most have no idea where to start! You'll find #EastArnhemLand on the far northeastern tip of the NT mainland, accessible via a short flight from #Darwin or the Central Arnhem Road. Spectacular coastal landforms with dazzling white sand beaches, combined with a strong Aboriginal cultural presence, define the paradise that is the Gove Peninsula. And, good news, everything is easily reachable from the regional centre, #Nhulunbuy, a town of 3500 people.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @kyle_hunter! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Floating is a full-time job at Bitter Springs 💦 As you can see, the NT's not all red sand and arid landscapes! You'll find this spring-fed thermal pool hidden amongst tropical woodlands in Elsey National Park just outside the small town of #Mataranka. Discovered by surveyors for the Overland Telegraph Line in the late 1800's, the park was made famous in Jeannie Gunn's popular novel 'We of the Never Never'. Be sure to bring some goggles and a swimming noodle - the soft current will gently take you a hundred metres or so downstream before you reach a ladder, hop out and do it all again! Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @_aswewander 👍 #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

#Uluru recently received some rain and lucky local @tipofthegower was there to capture the moment the sun poked out from behind the clouds minutes before sunset 😍 While most visitors aren't hoping for rain, this incredible sight is both rare and mesmerising.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, William! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT #ExploreUluru

#Kakadu National Park's Maguk Gorge is special for many reasons... just ask @powershala who recently ventured up to its lesser known top pools! An hour south of Cooinda Lodge, Maguk requires a four-wheel drive to access, but once you're there it's just a one-kilometre walk to the main waterfall set in an immense stone amphitheatre. If you're a keen adventurer, you can choose not to cross the river along the main trail and remain on the left bank to climb above the falls where you'll find these magnificent smaller plunge pools with incredible views 🙌 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Max and Faye! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd #SeeKakadu

The ultimate 5 billion star experience... ✨ @ontopofaus recently stayed at #Mataranka Homestead, a popular stopover along the Stuart Highway, roughly an hour south of #Katherine. With close to 100 powered sites and unlimited unpowered sites, it's the ultimate place to camp out and take advantage of the low levels of light pollution - perfect star-gazing conditions! The Homestead borders Elsey National Park and isn't far from the region's warm springs, Mataranka Thermal Pool and Bitter Springs, famed for their crystal clear water. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @ontopofaus! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Watching sunset should be a mandatory activity in #Kakadu National Park - they're way too good to miss, hey @turquoiselane_shop! There are a number of well known places within the park to watch the daily afternoon show, however Nawurlandja Lookout has to be one of our favourites 👉 after a short clamber up a steep rock slope you'll have world-class views across Anbangbang Billabong to Nourlangie Rock (Burrungkuy) and the #ArnhemLand escarpment. This peaceful spot is great for sitting back and taking in the changing colours at the end of the day or watching dramatic storms roll in during the tropical summer. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Suzie! #SeeAustralia #DoKakadu #SeeKakadu

Reporting from #Darwin, where the main show has already begun 🙌 There's no need to add a filter to your @TourismTopEnd holiday snaps, the sunsets actually look THIS good! With a mixed bag of adventure activities, fantastic food and colourful outdoor markets, our NT capital city is the ultimate tropical escape 🌴 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @ally.photog!  #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

It's easy to see why it's called #KingsCanyon 👑 Located midway between #Uluru and #AliceSprings, you'll find this natural wonder at the western end of the George Gill Range in Watarrka National Park. The canyon's sandstone walls were formed from small cracks that have eroded over millions of years to create these magnificent cliffs 🙌 The lush, sheltered creek below is a refuge for many plants and animals. The best way to explore the canyon is on foot with two walking trails to pick from; including the longer, more challenging Rim Walk and the easier Kings Creek Walk at the base of the canyon.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @shantal_indo!  #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT
