Le Yellow Water Billabong, le marais le plus célèbre du parc national de Kakadu, se trouve aux confins de Jim Jim Creek, un affluent de la South Alligator River.

La vie sauvage - Près d’un tiers des espèces d’oiseaux australiennes sont représentées dans le parc national de Kakadu.Au moins 60 de ces espèces vivent dans les marais.Le canard siffleur et la canaroie semipalmée sont les plus communs.

L’expérience - Yellow Water Cruises, décorée en 2012 du NT Brolga Tourism Award et du Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Major Tour and/or Transport Operators, propose uniquement des excursions sur le Yellow Water Billabong.L’agence est ouverte toute l’année et propose jusqu’à six excursions par jour, d’une durée de 90 ou de 120 minutes.Les croisières au lever du soleil et au crépuscule sont très populaires.Il est conseillé de réserver à l’avance.Il est difficile de prévoir ce que vous verrez pendant la croisière mais chaque excursion est une expérience unique.

    Footprints of the Past

    The tour includes a visit to the world famous Gunlom Falls and the stunning Ikoymarrwa Rock Pool. Finish the day with drinks and canapés by a private billabong. Flexible itineraries change according to access and time of the year. *Note: This tour is a low impact, non-strenuous tour and the perfect alternative for guests unable to participate in the Spirit of Kakadu Adventure Tour. Children under 8 years are not permitted.

    Full Day Spirit of Kakadu Adventure Tour

    Bush walk through monsoon forests, negotiating rocks along the river gorge before standing encircled by towering 150 metre cliffs, at the shaded pool at the base of Jim Jim Falls. Enjoy a tranquil boat cruise, with an experienced guide, walk along a trail carved into the gorge cliff face to the sandy beach and dual falls of Twin Falls.


    From April to June, witness Kakadu National Park come alive as this tour operates according to road and environmental conditions. The flexible itinerary can take you on an adventure; swimming in waterfalls or tracking down the elusive red and blue Leichhardt's grasshopper, on a bush walk with experienced guides.


    Please note a high level of fitness and agility is required as this day tour involves climbing over rocky terrain.

    Yellow Water Cruise - 1.5 Hour

    5 hour wildlife cruise on Yellow Water, a lush tropical billabong located in Kakadu National Park. This tranquil wetland is home to a diversity of flora and fauna. Watch as native birds rest among waterlilies, see saltwater crocodiles, wild horses and wallabies in their natural habitats and discover why this unspoiled wilderness is a World Heritage listed landmark.

    Yellow Water Fishing - 3 Hour

    Fishing experiences of three hours are perfect for novices and families to experience the thrill of fishing these waters with the
    guidance of an experienced fishing guide.
    Groups of up to four people only.


    Our guides provide all the fishing gear and will coach on how to cast, retrieve and make your lure the most attractive to the Yellow Water barramundi. Fishing is with lures only so there is no need for live or fresh bait. The boat has a casting deck, seating, partial shade, iced water, refresher towels and keen guides full of fishing stories. A great experience on one of the most beautiful waterways in the world.
