Stop to view Atila (Mt. Conner), often mistaken for Uluru, before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Join your Driver Guide for a tour around the base of Uluru and to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. View ancient rock art and learn about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
Late afternoon, travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness and photograph the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine.
Optional Experience: Add-on the Uluru Barbecue Dinner
Drive through sandhill country towards Kings Canyon, stopping for a breakfast at Kings Creek Station. Climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park on a 3 hour walk around the canyon with your guide and learn about its geology. Alternatively, enjoy a more leisurely 1.5 hour walk along the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed.
