Readback Aboriginal Art Gallery

Readback has been in business in Darwin since 1995.

Our authentic, affordable Aboriginal Art is purchased direct from local artists, allowing us to support, promote and offer them a steady income all year round.

We get asked time and time again “why are your prices so low compared to others”? The answer is simple: we practice fair-trade. This enables us to offer low, competitive prices and allows our customers to make socially-conscious purchases.

We are fortunate to have such talented artists right here on our Darwin doorstep. The renowned Numina Sisters, Lanita, Jacinta, Caroline, Louise, Selina and Sharon Numina Napananka and mother Barbara Pananka Price Mbitjana, Reggie Sultan, Les Huddleston are located right here in Darwin.

We are also fortunate to have well-known artists dropping in when they're in Darwin to sell their paintings. To name a few: Eddie Blitner, Janet Nakamarra Long, Miriam Ashley, Linda Bopirri and Daisy Marjar.

All artwork is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity with a photo and information about the artist and the piece. We are conveniently located in the heart of Darwin, Smith Street's pedestrian mall.

Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
