Learn about traditional bush life via music, dance, visual art and artefacts, with workshops plus thrilling spear throwing and fire making contests.
The festival will start with a "Welcome to Country" by an elder from the community of Ali Curung, and then the Hon. Gerry McCarthy MLA, the member for Barkly, will officially open the Ali Curung Traditional Dance Festival.
There will be demonstrations on painting, artefact making and jewellery making, throughout the weekend.
A traditional spear throwing competition using a woomeras and a fire making competition using boomerangs will also be held.
