Busby Marou Back On The Tools
Aussie storytellers and gifted musicians Busby Marou are bringing Back On The Tools to Darwin for one night only.
Busby Marou are fast becoming a National Australian Treasure. It has been a huge time for them, performing at the 2020 AFL Grand Final, coupled with an ARIA Nomination for Best Blues and Roots album for The Great Divide.
The boys - Tom Busby hailing from Queensland and Jeremy Marou from the beautiful Torres Strait Islands - have gained a reputation as one of Australia’s hardest working live bands, best known for their rare vocal interplay, the kind you only get when two lifelong mates play music together. For the last decade, Busby Marou have been on the road virtually non-stop, so the 2020 pause has certainly been a shock to the system – and they are just itching to play again.
Their success includes millions of global streams, top 20 airplay and three ARIA charting albums. Busby Marou’s self-titled album is certified ARIA Gold, while their follow up album Farewell Fitzroy debuted at number five on the ARIA albums chart and Postcards From The Shell House, is Busby Marou’s first ARIA number one album.
Don’t miss this beloved roots duo as they take to The Playhouse stage.
