Birding, Heritage and nature based format - join an Ossies Outback 4WD Tour to experience the essence of the remote outback areas of Central Australia and the Simpson Desert in four-wheel drive comfort.
Departing from Alice Springs you'll travel to historic Hermannsburg, home of the famous Aboriginal painter Albert Namatjira and the Lutheran Missionaries. Then head off the beaten track through the Finke Gorge National Park to Boggy Hole, where awesome scenery, unique bird watching and a swim awaits you.
Using the less travelled four-wheel drive tracks, you will arrive at Kings Canyon. In the morning you can choose whether to take the rim walk, where you’ll be rewarded with remarkable views or the less strenuous walk through the valley amongst the cycads.
Arrive at Uluru / Ayers Rock, located in Kata Tjuta National Park, on 'tracks less traversed' and enjoy nibbles and a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets. Early the next morning take the base walk around Uluru, visit an Aboriginal Culture Centre and then head off to Kata Tjuta / The Olgas, for walk among the orange domes, before heading back to Alice Springs.
Please note that the indicative rate quoted does not include the AUD25.00 per person national park entry fee. The fee is payable directly to the park when you arrive at the park.
