Journey the Dreaming is an Aboriginal cultural walking tour, drawing on 40,000 years of life in Central Australia. Join us for an experience of the natural and cultural environment of Alice Springs (Mparrntwe), taking in the Town Centre and the Todd River (Lhere Artepe) landscape.
Discover the significance of connection between land and culture for Aboriginal people and learn of Aboriginal storylines. Alison will also explain the traditional skin names and kinship system of Central Australian Aboriginal culture.
Available Monday to Friday.
Tour departs at 8:30am (summer) or 9am (winter), from outside the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre, in Todd Street Mall. It goes for approx. 1.5hrs and is easy walking. The tour will finish in the gardens of the Mercure Alice Springs Resort(about 3km from the town centre).
Maximum of 20 people so, bookings are essential.
