The Ecumenical Festival Service

The churches of Alice Springs welcome any Desert Song Festival-goers, especially interstate visitors to join them in an interdenominational service.

Join in a celebration of songs of inspiration with the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir.

The Desert Song Festival is an annual showcase of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance in Central Australia. Over 10 glorious days (September 6-15) the Festival unites singers, musicians and audiences, from Alice Springs and visitors to the region.

Artists from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, in the heart of Australia, will come together to present a diverse program of events, that reveal incredible musical talent, honouring the 'UN International Year of Indigenous Language'

Using staged, iconic heritage venues across town and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the festival gives visitors and locals an unforgettable experience.

The program provides a smorgasbord of free community events and quality ticketed performances. Book early online or in person at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
