Sacred Song

'Sacred Song' is a free community concert, forming part of the Desert Song Festival program.

It celebrates sacred music from Samoa, Africa, Pitjantjatjara, Western Arrentte, Maori, Buddhist Kirtan, Christian Traditions and many others. Sit on the lawns and experience the moving sacred music as the sun sets on another beautiful Central Australian spring day.

Take “the essential Australian journey” this September to Alice Springs where, over 10 incredible days, the Festival will honour the 'UN International Year of Indigenous Language'. Singers, musicians and audiences from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, will unite to celebrate Central Australia's unique story of human occupation, resilience and culture.

Using staged, iconic heritage venues across town and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the DSF19 gives visitors and locals an unforgettable experience, revealing extraordinary musical talents.

The DSF19 program provides a smorgasbord of free community events and quality ticketed performances. Book early online or in person at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre, on the corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
