Hear from Roxanne Highfold and Christine Ross as a part of the talks program at Parrtjima 2023.
Meet two great Territorians, change makers, and leaders in their fields. Christine Ross and Roxanne Highfold both know that change requires a strong sense of who you are, where you belong and how you treat people fairly.
A proud Arrernte-Kaytetye woman, Christine runs her own business, has strong family roots and a long history with the ancestral stewardship and the development of Alice Springs (Mparntwe).
Roxanne is an Arrernte/Nharangga/Kaurna woman who has worked for numerous organisations including Congress and the Central Land Council, while advocating for environmental awareness and development as Deputy Chair of the Arid Lands Environment Centre.
Their Alice Springs is strong. It’s the home of the Yeperenye – the caterpillars who became the beautiful ridges of the MacDonnell Ranges that shelter the town.
Entry to talks will be on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure you arrive early.
