Hear from Steven Oliver as a part of the talks program at Parrtjima 2023.
Steven’s stories, writings and clever use of terminology make us all think and reflect. A descendant of the Kuku-Yalanji, Waanyi, Gangalidda, Woppaburra, Bundjalung and Biripi peoples, he’ll make you laugh, cry and then laugh some more. There is often a shock factor among the belly laughs, but as Steven, who hails from the small Queensland town of Cloncurry, always reminds the audience, we have more similarities than differences. Come and hear his unique brand of truth telling, and if you're lucky he might even do a tap dance and sing a song!
Entry to talks will be on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure you arrive early.
