Desert Voice at White Gums

The signature choral concert of the Desert Song Festival, ‘Desert Voice’ is nestled amongst the shadow of the Yeperenye Range at Honeymoon Gap, bringing the voices of the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir ‘home’ to Arrentte country in the Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park.

The program will also feature the voices of Asante Sana, The Zimbabwe Ladies Choir, Taiwanese Indigenous vocalist Sang Mei-Chuan and other visiting choirs and musicians. It's a night of moving music not to be missed.

The 2019 Desert Song Festival will unite singers, musicians and audiences in this sixth annual celebration of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance, in Central Australia. Over 10 glorious days (September 6- 15) a myriad of concerts, workshops and masterclasses will present choirs, musicians, small vocal ensembles and solo performers, in a celebration of; the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people.

The Festival gives visitors and locals an unforgettable experience where audiences have an opportunity to connect with the original inhabitants of this land through music and song.

Book online or, at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
