Celebrate, learn, create and share culture in a contemporary meeting place that showcases the cultural and artistic richness of the Katherine region

More information

Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre (GYRACC) is a new cross-cultural enterprise in the Katherine Region. GYRACC evolved out of the desire of the people of Katherine to have a contemporary meeting place in which to celebrate, learn, create and share culture.

Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre is uniquely positioned to provide arts development, presentation and educational opportunities to all sectors of the Katherine community and the wider region. It aims to showcase the cultural diversity and artistic richness of the region. Underpinned by the 'two way' learning philosophy it aspires to become a 'model for reconciliation' in the community through the presentation of exhibitions and performances of Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultural expression together.
