Free guided tours depart from the foyer of Parliament House at 9am and 11am every Saturday excluding the months of December and January, with an additional tour from May to September at 10.30am on Wednesday.
You will visit all public areas and hear about the history of the site, the building, and the role of Parliament. One highlight of your tour is a visit to the Parliamentary Chamber which reflects the Westminster history and tradition, on which Australia's parliament is structured.
You will also see an original wall from the Post Office, which has been incorporated in the Historic Lobby and makes an impressive entry point to the Northern Territory Library. Other things to see include Sturt's Desert Rose Mosaic, the Main Hall, Aboriginal Art Exhibition, the Portrait Gallery of former Chief Ministers and Speakers of the Northern Territory and a Time Capsule due to be opened in 2048.
