Library & Archives NT (LANT) is the Northern Territory's premier public research library and archival organisation.
It collects, preserves and shares the documentary heritage of the Northern Territory and is a trusted steward of Territory memory and history.
LANT collections include NT Government archives, books, newspapers, photographs, maps, magazines, ephemera, websites, letters, diaries, community and organisational records, and oral histories.
LANT's Darwin city venue is open to visitors throughout the week and provides a relaxed environment in which to not only peruse the print and digital collections but also catch up with events making headlines in international, state and local newspapers. On permanent display is the exhibition 'Meeting Ground: Territory Encounters' uncovering the Territory's unique history and diverse cultures that have made it what it is today. LANT Darwin city also offers national touring exhibitions and programs and events featuring writers, storytellers and artists.

Caters for people who use a wheelchair. Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia) Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss. Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) Caters for people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
