The Garrmalang Festival celebrates the arts & culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have contributed to the building of Darwin.
Garrmalang is a Larrakia word for the Darwin region.
The Garrmalang Festival will celebrate the arts and culture of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have contributed to the building of the city, from its foundations to its seductive sophistication and edginess.
The Garrmalang Festival celebrates song, dance, language, knowledge, heritage, family and country, and will showcase the best talents from right across the Top End, Australia and the world.
And as the Larrakia say "Garrmalang lives because we live".
