Bush Bands Bash is a foot stomping musical celebration under the starry desert sky.

Played to an audience of thousands the concert is the biggest annual showcase of Aboriginal desert music in Australia.

The Bands who will feature as a part of the 14th Annual Bush Bands Bash in Alice Springs are:

Tjupi Band (Papunya community | Luritja language) Red Sand Beat Band (Warburton community | Ngaanyatjarra & English languages) Desert Rain Band (Pipalyatjara community | Pitjantjatjara & English languages) Moon Band (Mimili community | Yankunytjatjara & English languages) Black Rock Band (Manaburduma, Kapalga & Madjinbadi communities | Kunwinjku & English languages) Wampana Band (Yuendumu & Lajamanu communities | Warlpiri, Yolngu, Matha & Gurindji languages)

Bush Bands Program received a record breaking number of entries again this year. The popularity of the Program saw 20 bands from remote communities apply to be part of the 2017 installation.

The six successful bands will participate in MusicNT's intensive skills development camp, Bush Bands Business, and will then perform at the Bush Bands Bash alongside two Aboriginal acts from Country Arts WA's 'Sand Tracks' Tour.
